Cancellations, Delays, and Changes Weekly Rumor Update

Purple Wall Transition Magic Kingdom Tomorrowland

This week we got a lot of announcements of small incremental changes to the Disney Parks in the US and we'll keep you up to date on all of them.

Entertainment Cuts

In October a lot of shows across Disney World are going to be cut, including most significantly The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History.

Tomorrowland Changes

We got a new retro-futuristic sign at the entrance to Tomorrowland. Hopefully, this will be a sign of things to come for the land.

Rise of the Resistance Delay

Rumors are building that Rise of the Resistance may be delayed once again. We already know it was delayed due to problems in construction, causing it to not open with the rest of Galaxy's Edge, but apparently, these problems have persisted. The ride may not make its December (WDW) and January (Disneyland) opening.

Primeval Whirl

Primeval Whirl has now become a seasonal attraction, in other words it is doomed. Seasonal is normally the last stage before a long-standing attraction is closed unceremoniously. There has really only been one exception to this rule, Carousel of Progress, which was made seasonal in the aftermath of 9/11 and returned to normal operation after tourism increased again. I would not expect this to be an exception.
