Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival

Imagination Epcot Night Waterfall

Disney used to have a theater in every Tomorrowland worldwide except for the Magic Kingdom showcasing 3-D films. The same theater at Disney World was found in Future World at Epcot as part of the Imagination Pavillion.

These films were attractions at times when 3-D was special, but as technology improved, 3-D films like Honey I Shrunk the Audience and Captain EO weren't as special and their popularity has declined at every Disney resort worldwide.

The question was then, what to do with the theaters?

Disney World chose, put something you can watch at home in them.

Enter the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival.

Three short films are shown with minimal 3-D effects added to them. Honestly, this is one of the few attractions where the best value you get from it is sitting in air conditioning.

Don't get me wrong the shorts are great, but if you're paying hundreds of dollars for tickets you might not want to spend it at an attraction you can buy on DVD.
